How do I allow multiple products to be ordered in order form?

I would like to offer a number of different products in the order form, and the user can then check off which ones he wants to include in the order. How do I allow for multiple products to be added to the same order? I don't want them shown as addons. They must be actual products.

Thank you, I'm almost there. Although, the page allows me to only click to add one item at a time to the cart. I then have to Continue Shopping to add more. How can I change that to checkboxes so that the customer can order multiple products with one click?

It can by editing the order templates

Can someone please let me know how to edit the order in which products are displayed on the cart page? It currently seems to be in random order ie., it's not alphabetical, or by date of creation.

Config => Products & Services => Edit Product and select "Other" tab and change the "Product Order" field to suit.
