2Checkout recurring and Paypal, 3rd party helpdesk

dbmv

Question

Just a few quick questions :

Can WHMCS use 2Checkout recurring, by sending all payments with the product ID code already setup at 2CO? Lpanel does this. While it's impossible to track the recurring payments automatically, 2CO does email confirmation or negative payment. Since not many clients choose addons, it works very well.

How's the Paypal integration? Does it easily support one-time and recurring payments and tracking of?

I use a 3rd party helpdesk. Does WHMCS allow us to substitute its own helpdesk for ours, and give us variables which we can use, like username/domain/etc..

And last but not least..is there an Lpanel importer?

Thanks!

Hi there,

WHMCS does not support 2CheckOut recurring payments because 2CheckOut does not yet offer a callback system to tell WHMCS once these have been paid. With the invoiced method we use, WHMCS knows as soon as an item is paid for and can automatically setup the account/increment due dates, etc...

With PayPal, Subscriptions & One Time payments are supported, and again, as with almost all the gateways, WHMCS will track these automatically.

As WHMCS is 100% customisable through the templates then you certainly can remove links to the built in support system and change them to redirect to any other system you may have. There are various variables available in the template files.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have an Lpanel importer. We require users to submit their database to us in order to create an importer and no Lpanel users have done this yet.

Hi Matt,

Wouldn't it be possible to just have the product ID sent anyways, and if the user wants to deal with the associated costs and hassles from keeping up with the recurring function, to deal with it themselves? Lpanel does exactly this.

Also, how would it work with 1-time payments? The user would click on a link, but would all of the information be already filled in, besides the CC # and cvv2 code?

Thanks for the info

Yes, with the invoices, the user is sent an invoice each time they are due to pay. Once clicking the Pay Now button they are taken to the page at 2Checkout with all their data prefilled - name, email, address, etc... - all they have to do is enter their card details.

New release is coming out, so, it may be a good bit of time. Besides that...it is not an easy task to custom write a script to import one db into another. I would estimate a few weeks at the least to longer...esp. with the holidays coming up. Matt works hard to bring WHMCS features and if possible he will get it done.

Can choosing 2CO create invoices 5 days before the due date, but Paypal only send out invoices after the subscrition was paid?

Also, if people choose addons at signup, and choose Paypal subscription, is it possible for whmcs to create the subscription properly (Paypal)
