How do I import my packages from WHM into WHMCS?

Hey everyone, I'm very new to hosting etc, but I heard WHMCS would be best for me.

 

I've made my packages in WHM but how do I transfer them to WHMCS? Is there a way or do I have to create them individually in WHMCS?

I don't believe there's a way to transfer from WHM to WHMCS for the packages. I think you're on your own with creating the packages in WHMCS.

Is there anything you would suggest like scripts etc that I could use to make my first time using WHMCS easier?

Yes there is; Utilities > WHM Import Script

 

Just make sure you've read the manual, that contains pretty much all you need to know: http://wiki.whmcs.com

Pretty sure it doesn't import the actual packages, just the clients accounts and what package they're assigned. When I started with WHMCS, I seem to recall I had to create the packages in the app first. Maybe that's changed?

I'm not sure, I've never used it. Although on closer inspection of the wiki it sounds like you're right bear.

This WHM Import Script can save you hours of time. It will automatically import domains and usernames from your cPanel Server to save you needing to enter them manually into WHMCS.

You must make sure you have a package setup for each Package Name in use on the server by the accounts you are going to import before running the import as WHMCS will attempt to automatically assign accounts to a package based on this. Any accounts where a package is not found for them will be reported at the end for entering manually.

Begin by choosing the cPanel server you want to import from below, then click Get Account List.
