Alliance
I want to know whether it is possible to migrate my clients accounts from clientexec 3.1.4. We also want to know whether it is possible to have several types of bills in different languages, a language for each client. I saw his demo, and I see that the customer has the option of adding a credit card, how this works? My server is working with Zend, I can install your software? I use JROX for my affiliates, it is possible to integrate this system with your software? I can offer only domains package? you offer resellerclub account, this is a primary account or a sub-reseller account? I can use the admin panel in spanish? thanks so much.
0 Mattg
WHMCS does have an import script which will import your clients. The issue I had when importing is the invoices will be screwed up and will require you to manually go through them ALL.
0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 24, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 24, 2008 Yes, we have a migration script for the latest version of ClientExec. To answer your other questions, you can set the language for each user individually, WHMCS requires Ioncube installed to run and we don't offer a Zend version, you can use any third party affiliate system by simply inserting their tracking code into the indicated place in the order system templates and the Enom/ResellerClub accounts we offer to all our users free of charge are sub-reseller accounts. The issue I had when importing is the invoices will be screwed up and will require you to manually go through them ALL. That shouldn't be the case so if you get that, just open a ticket and we can take a look. Matt

Matt We did too, all the invoices were marked unpaid, we just used phpMyAdmin to mark them paid, otherwise it would have sent a receipt out to all the clients when we marked them paid. One other glitch in the conversion file was that it took everyone that every emailed use that was not a client and made them a client, no biggie to tick the box and delete them, easy enough. It also did not import the domains, if the customer owned more than one domain. But even with all that it was faster than setting all the accounts up manually.
0 KAIDOK
So was the issue fixed where it didn't import passwords and credit card numbers? That was the issue I had with it. I couldn't import the stuff I really needed.
0 KAIDOK
How'd you sort it? Or is it automatically sorted now?
0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 2, 2009 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 2, 2009 We can't import passwords because they md5 encode them which is not reversable. Likewise with credit cards, they don't make it public knowledge what methods they use to encrypt them and so we're not able to write something to decrypt them for an export. However, the import script should be working correctly for all the data it's able to import. Matt

Matt This totally sucks (on CE's part, especially for those of us who've been using them for years upon years) but it's good to know. Thanks Matt.
