Salman75
HI, I have a few packages with free domains. When a client chooses to transfer a domain with the free domain package, the expiry date is different from the hosting package due date. When the hosting package expires, the domain should automatically go into a suspended or similar state. I have had a few such domains get renewed via $0 invoices even when their associated hosting packages had been cancelled or terminated.
Lawrence
The expiry date for a domain, by default, should be the actual expiration date of the domain name with the registrar, such as eNom. Once the hosting expires, it is suspended by WHMCS. I would definitely like to know why it renews at $0 later though.
chickendippers
There's no product association, so domain names aren't dependant on a hosting package. If you want that to be the case you'll need to manually administer it. The current free domain logic is currently for life. v3.8 will allow you to charge for renewal if you so choose.
Salman75
Well, if you have a large customer base with a large number of domains like us then manual administration is not an option; its not even possible.
