hightekhosting
Hi all, Is it just me or is the development tracker no longer being updated? After 3.7.1, there is only planned, which is fair enough, but I haven't seen or read anything on 3.7.3 or other versions upcoming for that matter? I don't mean to sound impatient, but there are alot of features on the planned list I'd love to see upcoming, but with them being on the "Planned" list, it's hard to know what's coming and when. It would be nice to see another version added to the dev tracker so we can all get an idea of what to expect and when. Does anyone else feel the same way? Regards, Dale Evans Manager
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted October 27, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted October 27, 2008 Is it just me or is the development tracker no longer being updated? Just you The planned list has a lot of features that now say implemented. I updated some just yesterday. Any planned features that are implemented will be in the next release when it is made. We don't preset dates for new releases but it's usually one every 6-8 weeks. Matt

luckdragon
I understand.. but the one thing I'm a bit confused about.. is 3.7.1 is there, and planned is there.. but 3.7.2 has been released.. why isn't it listed there at all?
dkent
I agree, I wish there were more details listed on the Development Tracker also. I check it at least once a week. Always wanting to see an updated list of what we should be expecting in upcoming versions of this lovely Billing & Support system (WHMCS of course!).
Drac0
Also on the front page, it states" Latest Announcement WHMCS V3.7.1 Stable Now Available! There are many exciting new features and enhancements, click here to read the changelog discussion. Then a littler further down, it states: 06/10/2008 - WHMCS V3.7.2 Released This is a patch release which includes any bug fixes made since the V3.7.1 release just over 3 weeks ago. Anyone running V3.7.1 should upgrade using the incremental download which includes the changed files only.
DataHosts
I understand.. but the one thing I'm a bit confused about.. is 3.7.1 is there, and planned is there.. but 3.7.2 has been released.. why isn't it listed there at all? I would assume because 3.7.2 was a minor fix as it was not a full install option. It was merely a few file changes and such. Could be wrong..but my bet is on this.

Does anyone else feel the same way? Regards, Dale Evans Manager If you compare WHMCS development with development of other softwares, you see that WHMCS is one of the best growing scripts actually;) I don't see any real problem with new releases and their timeline:)
eugenevdm
Yes I also like referring to the development tracker but I assume it's kinda out of date and not that strictly tied to versions any more because of the amount of pressure and management overhead creates. Clients continuously going on there and pressing to have 'planned' features implemented etc.
