email address could not be found

Hi,

My first experience of WHMCS was to be locked out after installation.

Having set up the system, added the cronjob, deleted the install files etc. when I try to login to the system I receive the error:

"Login Details Incorrect. Please try again."

Trying to get the 'forgotten' password e-mailed back to me I get:

"The email address you entered could not be found"

Looking in the database the e-mail address is definitely there as admin so what gives?

I tried uploading the install folder and reinstalling, but it would not let me so I'm completely stumped. I don't want to drop and delete everything as I am fearful of losing my license, has anyone experienced something like this before? Can anyone recommend a way forward?

Kindly,

Paul

Thanks for the advice. I reinstalled and get through to a license invalid screen:

"Your license is invalid. Possible reasons for this include:

* An incorrect license key has been used

* The IP Address your system is using has changed

* The domain you are using has changed

* The directory you are using has changed

You can reissue your license from the WHMCS client area to save the new IP, Domain & Directory settings and get your WHMCS system working again."

Any ideas? I do not have a new license key to change to, and it tells me I do not have permission if I click through to the next screen and try to change it.....

Odd. I have an off-server account with a company using WHMCS, and can't log in this evening for the same reasons. It doesn't recognize my email or anything. Anyone else seen this lately?
