Recurring Billing Question

EricDGreen

Question

I am looking into using WHMCS to setup recurring payments for my webhosting clients. I was curious on how paypal and/or google checkout integrated into WHMCS.

Is there a seamless integration, meaning my client does not have to setup an account with google or paypal, where I can setup recurring payments?

Most of my transactions will be 'manual' due to the customization of my services and the low number of clients. I will get all information from my client including their credit card number and I will then input their information into WHMCS. At that point I would like to use either google checkout or Paypal to process the credit cards once a month without having to have the customer approve each transaction through Google Checkout or Paypal. I know that a merchant account through something like CDGCommerce would work, but with the low volume I would prefer something like google checkout or paypal.

Let me know if I did not explain this well enough.

Thanks.

The benefits Website Payments Pro gives to your business.

* Customers stay on your site. If you have a pre-integrated cart or the resources for a custom integration, you control the customer experience from start to finish.

* Customers check out fast. Customers pay in as little as three clicks. They come back to your site for upsell, cross-sell, and marketing opportunities.

* You get more sales. Website Payments Pro helps you get incremental sales from our growing base of over 100 million accounts in 103 countries and regions, and 16 currencies.

So it's $30 per month right? With the Pro option can everything be included, you often find with premium services the APIs etc change and sometimes have issues... But I'm guessing it all works fine with WHMCS and is the same as integrating the standard paypal option?

Also the Fax option, is that just for payments or can you use it for other things as well?

Cheers.

Andrew.

Well back to the OP original question, couple of things stuck out. He said "low number of clients." If this is the case and your annual charges going through a processor will be less than $10,000 annually. I might recommend using 2CheckOut. You can use most any card, and if you don't have any sales for that month you will not be charged anything.

Yes, I agree here. 2Checkout is my favorite payment gateway - I actually recommend it to everyone whether you receive small or large payments. I have two accounts with them.

At first I was reluctant to sign up with them, but since they introduced the best feature ever (allowing customers to accept PayPal payments even without a PayPal account) - I signed up right away. I actually cancelled my PayPal account because PayPal were being an arse so 2Checkout was the next best thing.

Actually, I think it's better than PayPal in many ways...

1. EXCELLENT customer support (with Live Chat 24/7).

2. CHEAPER to receive payments than PayPal.

3. More payment options for your customers

Head over to 2Checkout now and sign up. Only a $50 one-off sign up fee.

It's not cheaper than PayPal.
