LICENSE INVALID error

hpham

Recommended Posts

I have set up my WHMCS using SSL at https://the-link-here

I can go to https://the-link-here without any trouble all the time. But when going to https://the-link-here/admin, sometimes it shows me error

Your license key xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is invalid. Possible reasons for this include:

* An incorrect license key has been used

* The IP Address your system is using has changed

* The domain you are using has changed

* The directory you are using has changed

You can reissue your license from the WHMCS client area to save the new IP, Domain & Directory settings and get your WHMCS system working again.

Pay attention that it's happening sometimes only, but it's really annoying. When I have this error, I go to http://the-link-here/admin, then back to https://the-link-here/admin, it's working back.

Is there any other one facing to this trouble?

Hello,

I am having the same issue. However I've found that a reissue is not necessary. I get the license error, every 5 days or so, when I visit: https://www.domain.com/whmcsdir/admin/

Reloading doesn't work.

In order to fix it, I simply have to visit http://www.domain.com/whmcsdir/admin/ (without SSL), and the login page comes up fine. Then browsing back to https://www.domain.com/whmcsdir/admin/ shows that it is working right.

So basically, it seems like it is not able to check the license via SSL, which doesn't really make sense since its only the connection from your browser to the WHMCS instance using SSL. It shouldn't impact how the server 'phones home' to check on your license status.

Matt, any ideas?

Thanks,

-Dave
