Hello

I have noticed in the Instructions for the Upgrade,

========================================================================

[ UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ]

========================================================================

To upgrade your WHMCS System, simply follow the instructions below.

1. Unzip the contents of the zip file to a folder on your computer

2. If you have made any customisations to the following files, you

should delete them from the new files before uploading

- images/logo.jpg

- includes/actionhooks.php

- includes/additionaldomainfields.php

- includes/pdfconfig.php

- includes/whoisservers.php

3. Upload the files to your existing installation folder overwriting any

existing files

4. Run the upgrade script at

http://www.yourdomain.com/whmcs/install/install.php

PLEASE REMEMBER: Before running any upgrade, you should always backup

your database.

5. Once complete, delete the install folder from your web server.

6. It is important to always remember to update your templates. As you

could be upgrading from any version, there could be numerous changes

you need to make. For this update, the following template files

have changed and may need updating:

- creditcard.tpl

- clientareahome.tpl

- clientareaproducts.tpl

- clientareadomains.tpl

- clientareainvoices.tpl

- clientareaemails.tpl

- clientareaproductdetails.tpl

- supportticketsubmit-steptwo.tpl

- upgrade.tpl

- upgradesummary.tpl

- viewinvoice.tpl

- templates/orderforms/ (ALL)

7. The upgrade is now complete.

In Questions 2 and 3.... (just to make sure Im Doing it right, Or I need to be corrected) Am I to be uploading 'Every single File' Replacing all the Files? Or Am I just to upload and Replace the Files Located in Question 2?

The reason I ask, Is once this is complete, By these Instructions, I am to run the 'Install Script'... If I am NOT to upload every single file, replacing everything, I dont have the Install Folder as It was deleted when I first Installed WHMC. Should I be Uploading the Install folder Only as With replacing just the mentioned Files WHMC Instructions of the upgrade?

Okay!! I hope I explained myself well enough, I feel like Im rambling...lol

Your responce will be appreciated and Thanks in advance. ;)

What I decided I had to do, was upload the Install File, and run the Upgrade. This said It was successful, I now have the latest WHMC Installed.

I have updated the TPL Files also... My site is saying "Down for Maintenance

An upgrade is currently in progress... Please come back soon..."

How long before it usually upgrades? I thought It would have been Instant. I seem to have finished everything that was placed in the Upgrade TXT File.

Is there something else I could be missing as to why that message has not disappeared?

Cheers

You should make sure you have uploaded all of the files

step 2 of the instructions is saying that if you have customised any of the following files

- images/logo.jpg

- includes/actionhooks.php

- includes/additionaldomainfields.php

- includes/pdfconfig.php

- includes/whoisservers.php

then you should delete these files before uploading all the other files otherwise they will overwrite your customised files.

Upload all the remaining files to your WHMCS (or whatever you have named it) folder, overwriting the existing files

then run the installation script

once that is complete delete the installation file

It appears you have done it tail up.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Ros
