rich69
Hello: Would appreciate any help with sending my emails to clients. Whenever I attempt to do so, the system states the email has been sent. My email server does send the email, but nothing shows up in my email test box. I have looked at the mail and error logs, and this is what I found. Initially I was getting syntax error when the following settings: -------------------------------- General Settings General: Company Name: ABC email: myemail@abc.com Under Mail: PHP Mail() 25 ABC myemail@abc.com Any ideas or suggestions as to why the emails are not getting into my box? Oh by the way, I note this from the error log: 8/12/2008 7:19:13 PM 5024 New mail received. From:< <"ABC <myemail"@hotmail.com> > to:< Client X <clientx@hotmail.com; admin@mysite.com > 8/12/2008 7:19:13 PM 5024 Close connection. 8/12/2008 7:19:13 PM Message from:< <"ABC <admin"@hotmail.com> > to:< clientx@hotmail.com > Relay delivery succeed! Relay SMTP Server: smtp.xxx.com
MikeDVB
Where is the test box located? IE is it on the same server, on a different server, on Yahoo or gmail or hotmail?
rich69
Thanks for responding. Not sure what you mean by text box location? But I am attempting to send emails from within the WHMCS software. I am not using IE inthe process. Instead the preconfigured php form accessible from the adminstrative side. MikeDVB
no... What I mean is - is the test box on the same server. As in if you operate mymegahosting.com is the test box test@mymegahosting.com or something else like mytestbox@yahoo.com.
rich69
Oh..ok..I think I understand. If I understand correctly, then it will have to be the first option as in mymegahosting.com (test@mymegahosting.com)
MikeDVB
Have you made sure that it's not getting sent to a spam box or junk mail folder?
rich69
Yes..the mail is not leaving the mail server. I believe the reason has to do with the wrong sender syntax as the error log showed, but I dont know how to address this.
