WIS hosting
Hello, I have some clients who have more domainnames registered for different people. They order the domainnames on their own account, but fill in the domain registrant information for the owner (their client) itself. How and where can I see in the backend which information belongs to the domain? I only see the information from my own client. Not the one he is registrering for. please help.
othellotech
Why would you need to know about *their* client ? You can always lookup the registrant on a whois ...
WIS hosting
I mean, they want to register a new domain name for their client. But I cannot find the information about their client in the WHMCS. I need this information to fill in at the domainreseller to apply the domainname. I only can find the information about my client, but the client wants to register at his clients name and contact information.
WIS hosting
Can anyone help me with this?
sparky
Add your clients client as a contact on your clients account and don't check any of the boxes then assign that contact as the domain contact on the final checkout page. What a tongue twister! In the domains page for your client click on the Modify Contact Details button to view the contact info. I think that is what that function is for. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
WIS hosting
Thanks for your reply. But my client has about 20 clients with different Domains. I cannot see which domain belongs to which client. Maybe is this something for a future release of WHMCS? Its a great program by the way!
othellotech
>But my client has about 20 clients with different Domains. Good. >I cannot see which domain belongs to which client. Why would *you* need to ? If they are clients of your client, then they should be dealing with your client not you - as far as you are concerned they are in his account, so you take instructions from him regarding them
Ben-iNetFx
From what I gather, he is registering the domains manually - so needs to be able to see this information so he can input it to his registrar.
othellotech
Set the registrar to "email" and it'll send yo all the details when a domain is ordered Or switch to an online reegistry like Enom/NetEarth etc
WIS hosting
Yes I am registering them manually. My reseller isnt supported yet in the WHMCS. Thanks Ben and othellotech! Thats what I needed!
WIS hosting
Sorry to bother you again. The email function does not work. I set the email function to send mails to my info@mydomain.com. Then select email at the registrar and let them send the email to me, but the email doesn't arrive. Wit display "ON" I dont see any error messages. Maybe a bug?
othellotech
the email registrar works fine - you need to be getting your sysadmin to investigate the mail problem - starting with did the mail ever get generated /sent to the MTA ?
WIS hosting
No, the email did not get generated.
