when modifying order, or adding onto order, paypal subscription

i seem to be having a pretty difficult time with paypal subscriptions and whmcs.

 

whenever i upgrade or modify a user's package, i just don't know what is the best way to reflect the changes on paypal subscriptions.

 

any ideas?

You cant, paypal do not allow an active subscription to be modified

 

You have to cancel the subscription and remove the susb-id from the product.

okay well then how can they get re-subscribed to a new subscription?

just me sending out a new invoice email to them would make them get subscribed? or would that just be a one time payment thing.

also, i noticed product add-ons are not being added to the order for paypal?

 

i have a dedicated ip add-on and only later did i realize i wasn't receiving any payments for for customers who have this added on.

 

how do i go about this problem?

I understand PayPal does support this now and so does WHMCS. I just can't seem to find "where" in WHMCS the user can modify their subscription. Is it because I am using a custom template?
