Question

Hi everybody.

I signed up for trial account. WHMCS is really great.

We'll use WHMCS to offer all-in-one web solution. We want to do it as simple as possible for clients. They won't have to remember all different passwords, wont's have to worry about initial web design fees, hosting fees, domain fees etc. One monthly fee with low set-up fee and all included.

I have some questions.

1) Is it be possible to turn off some features in clients area?

Example: I don't want download and affiliate feature to show there.

2) Is it possible to add different features in clients area?

Example: We want to keep clients updated on order status. Let's say there will be 10 steps. 1/10 - Order received; 2/10 - Domain Registered; 3/10 Layout Design; 4/10 - Waiting for layout approval; 9/10 - Testing.

Our team will update steps. If we will have this order status system working, would that be possible to add new "order status" icon under clients area?

Another Example:

We will setup Google Analytics for each client's site and schedule monthly pdf reports to be send to one email account (like drop box). Those pdf files will be automatically added to client's area under Website Traffic. It will look like bank statements from the bank.

3) Just because we'll offer all-in-one web solution, we have to ask many (over 20) questions about design and customer needs. Is it possible to integrate it in order form? If it is, can I divide order process into 8 steps (just example) so order form will have like 8 pages? 1st-select plan, 2nd-pick domain, 3rd-Layout feel, 4th-features, 5th-email accounts, 6th-payment info, 7th-order confirmation, 8th-completed.

4) What's included in Mobile Edition for $39.95?

how does it work with iPhones?

Is it also fully customizable?

Is it for admin and client area?

5) Are we suppose to get The Configurable Hosting Package Addon for $69.95 if we want to offer some extras to each plan but not related to cPanel. Let's say logo design for $399 extra.

Thank you in advance for all answers.

1. Yes, you can easily remove the links from the templates.

2. You can achieve this using Custom Client Fields and ticking "Admin Only".

3. You could use Custom Fields, but adding extra pages might need some custom development.

5. No, the configurable hosting addon is only if you want to let customers choose their own webspace/bandwidth etc and have that package automatically created on the server. You could offer logo design as an Addon or Configurable Option.

Unfortunately I don't see many people interested in this thread.

Is it possible to have separate download area for every client? so every client has different download files.

Thx

Tom B.

Download area can be kept secure as you might have already know, But I dont think without customization you will be able to provide this facility to your clients.

Thank you in advance for all answers.

I have seen couple of websites which uses WHMCS as billing software for all custom services nothing related with Hosting or Web design Services and it works great for them

I do appreciate your ideas, though customizable but don't you think it will be way too much for them, in the form of Filling Forms.
