Telfie
Hi We recently installed WHMCS after using a custom built system which included a referral program. What we would like to do is to be able to do is record the clients that have been referred by other clients into the affiliate program so that those that have referred clients to us continue to get the benefit of those referrals. I can see the affiliate tables, but don't understand where what is recorded when someone refers a client and then that referral signs up. Can someone give me some advice on adding the referred clients? Andrew
asgard
Andrew, Did you get a solution to this? I have the same issue.
Telfie
Not really After a client referred someone, I looked at the way the info was added to the database and then copied the details across to WHMCS. Time will only tell if it works.
tweaked
I wanted to be able to add current products and plans to an affiliate only to learn that you can only do this if there is an existing 'Order' linked to the product or service. So now I create Orders for ones that did not have an order. Thing is, it gets tricky with domains and it wants to create the sites again as you have to approve the order. At least it is possible to do it. I think I am on the same page as you. Correct me if not.
SL-Host
Bingo! I came in today to specifically look for this same answer. I see other people are also interested. In our case, we have affiliates that already referred customers in the past. We just put WHMCS in place and now we need to manually assign accounts to affiliates. I don't see a way to assign an account to an affiliate in WHMCS, this I presume the only way at this time is to hack the MySQL database. (not sure what to do bu tI am snooping around) Kim
