ctbhost
well i just stumbled upon WHMCS and after only about 30 mins ive installed it, and started configuring it and i am impressed THEN i found the Modernbill import and i nearly fainted. i was dreading the change from modernbill to any other system, this import has just made me think maybe im dreaming - hope im not it cant be this good. i have struggled with MB for years, but took me so long to set it up i didnt want to start again one thing i did notice with the import is that clients that pay by paypal, the invoice can be viewed but any other method (2co, cheque ETC) it says there are x number of invoices but doesnt list them. only a minor thing at this point - im impressed

WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted March 30, 2008 WHMCS Developer Share Posted March 30, 2008 well i just stumbled upon WHMCS and after only about 30 mins ive installed it, and started configuring it and i am impressed THEN i found the Modernbill import and i nearly fainted. i was dreading the change from modernbill to any other system, this import has just made me think maybe im dreaming - hope im not it cant be this good. i have struggled with MB for years, but took me so long to set it up i didnt want to start again one thing i did notice with the import is that clients that pay by paypal, the invoice can be viewed but any other method (2co, cheque ETC) it says there are x number of invoices but doesnt list them. only a minor thing at this point - im impressed activate the payment methods and check the database to ensure the payment methods are correct.... OR, on the safe side (depends which you prefer)..... log a ticket and we can check things for you

nullensc
Hear hear! I'm a refugee from MB too - I never got it working in the end so almost gave up the whole project then I discovered WHMCS and...well so far...it's been a piece a cake to set up - and as said in another post, it leaves you to concentrate on other things, like having a life!
ctbhost
I started this post and thought i would just add some more comments.. is been 2 weks now since i first started to setup WHMCS and even though there has been some hickups with importing from MB4 (but al fixed with the help of matt) things i love about it the support from Matt has been great. i have found the database structure a lot easier to understand the Ability to create custom admin pages is fantastic the general simplicity of the interface the Functionality is not lacking at all the price is great (with no limit to the amount of accounts) things i dont like The fact i didnt find it sooner cant think of any others Well done WHMCS
Richie
We also came across from Modernbill which was an absolute bitch to use and work with day to day, but WHMCS is like a spring clean... Its light, fresher, quicker, easier to use (Intuitive) and fairly straight forward enough for any idiot to figure it out just by looking at it. The ticket response's from the WHMCS guys are pretty prompt compared to Modernbill, even if they dont always agree with you, or what your asking for, at least they tell you and dont get all crappy with you, no matter how much you argue your case, matt is calm and explains things as best is possible. We've had tons of tickets with Matt, some of them pretty heated from our side asking for things and I've often thought "Any minute now matt is gonna tell us to "get lost" but he doesnt, he just comes back with another reply to explain things. So, Matt, despite all the bitching, the endless tickets for bits and peices, your doing a good job @ WHMCS, but dont rest on the laurels, we dont ask for things to be a pain, we ask for things as they are essential for our business to actually function and WHMCS is the show stopper if something isnt right, so as long as we can get what we "ask for" within reason, then you will have many many more happy customers.
