cwt2k1
I don't see a spot for the payment standard gateway. I see a spot for paypal or paypal pro, but not standard. I have a paypal API, with the signature, and password, and those are requested in the Paypal Pro section, but when I use them it just goes to a white page and hangs there. The reports in admin list the payment as being unpaid. Please help!!!!

When I try to checkout that way it just say error couldnt complete, also it doesnt let me use the credit card processing portion of the paypal expresscheckout any ideas? When I use the payflowpro and put in my API's etc it just goes to a white screen after the client hits submit and wont do anything else.
MikeDVB
PayPal Website Payments Pro and PayPal are two different offerings from one company. WPP is $30/month, and PayPal PayFlo is the EU version of WPP and I am not sure of the cost. If you are using a regular paypal account and have not signed up for website payments pro then just enter your paypal e-mail address and use the regular PayPal module. If you have signed up for WPP then you need to fill out the correct information. It has been a long time since I have set up Website Payments Pro so I can only be vaugue, but I remember there were two types of API settings one was credential and othe other was signature, I think it was Signature that you needed.
cwt2k1
It's weird cause neither of them are working. I have the needed credentials, but not the actual pro version, standard now uses API to utilize credit card processing. Maybe WHMCS isn't compatible with standard? Can anyone help?

Standard just sends the user to the paypal website from my understanding. The API is for pro. If you want to process through your website you will HAVE to have PRO.
cwt2k1
That may be true of WHMCS, but not true of Zencart, or other modules, ugh. I love the hosting friendly features of WHMCS, but i need it to work fully with standard. Not good at all. I'm stuck now!
MikeDVB
No, it is the way PayPal works. You *CANNOT* use the API without WebsitePaymentsPro - there are certain legal agreements you have to make with PayPal concerning how your site operates (such as SSL) before they will let you use the API. And the API is a paid part of the WebsitePaymentPro service. We have WebsitePayments Pro and regular PayPal set up on our web site, and if you choose PayPal it redirects to PayPal to take the payment and then comes back to our site, some customers choose this as they feel more comfortable entering their information into PayPal than our site, where as WebsitePaymentPro is just listed as "Credit Card" on our site and it's all done in-house and processed in the back end with PayPal thru the APIs.

cwt2k1
Well then anyone else have that error with paypal? What should my paypal settings look like on Paypal's side??????
PPH
I would suggest a support ticket for help with WHMCS as I haven't seen anyone else have these problems. Either you are setting something wrong or have a problem with your setup. All you have to do is put your paypal email address into whmcs's Paypal module and goto Paypal and enable the ipn while leaving the url blank.
