Paypal payment not cleared

I just noticed that whmcs has logged a paypal transaction even though the payment did not clear.

 

Since the client has a subscription, paypal automatically sent in payment. However, there was a problem with their bank so the e-check never actually cleared. WHMCS still logged the transaction though.

 

Is this normal?

I've had some of those. It logs the transaction as pending. Once it clears, PP sends a followup that usually clears the invoice automatically.

Yes but the payment never cleared. The client canceled the subscription and is creating a new one.

 

So, in the transaction log the payment is still there. And also when the client views the invoice, there is a transaction in the invoice.

 

I guess I have to manually delete the transaction(s) when this happens?

 

Edit: I decided to just edit the transaction and make the amount in be $0.00

I had something similar to this happen. A customer placed an order and paid via paypal..everything went through and their account was setup. A day later I got an email from paypal saying the funds were reversed because it was a fraud payment..So I cancelled the account. Yet, it still showed up in my payment logs and being paid and revenue being made on my side...It makes accounting very difficult!
