Lethanialist
I setup the WHM Package "Shoutcast 25" with 1GB space and 25GB bandwidth, and the theme sonic. Simple enough. I setup the server, name Shoutcast, with our server IP, and our nameserver information typed in, type WHMSonic, username root, and left the password out since I used the hash. I put the package into WHMCS, module Whmsonic, use default server, OS is linux, server IP of course, bitrate 128, WHM Package name "Shoutcast 25", and the checkboxes "Use free port," "Users WHMSonic Access by cPanel," and "Bit Rate Abuse." When I try to create the account, however, I get this error: Server Command Error There was error on the shoutcast setup please try install shoutcast from WHMSonic for this user It creates the cPanel account, but not the WHMsonic account. Any ideas?

Lethanialist
I'm able to set up the accounts manually so that's how I'll do it if we get any orders, but I think it was broken with the update between one of the two software, WHMCS (3.6.0) and WHMSonic (1.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted February 21, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted February 21, 2008 Nothing has changed on our side so I think it would be worth getting in touch with WHMSonic on this one. Matt

chaloupe
I don't want to be pushing my luck but we are still unable to make it work via WHMCS. What are the real steps to setup a shoutcast plan? Shared Hosting or Other in product type? Server type is WhmSonic or cPanel? We have tried so many things that we are just not able to figure out what is going on...
dansgalaxy
Just read something, which said that it doesnt support remote servers So WHMCS needs to be installed on the same server as WHMsonic. Which frankly SUCKS! I mean come on. With my SC server it doesnt support http, and is used PURELY for sc so im rather annouyed i cant provide instant setup Dan
webresellers
This is not true... I have WHMCS installed on a VPS with no WHMSonic, and it creates accounts on remote machines, with no problems.
dansgalaxy
http://www.sonicpanel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=190&page=2 "Another notice: Please make sure your WHMCS and WHMSonic softwares are in the same dedicated server, it does not support remote connections." Well the developer doesnt seem to think it works So how are you making it work because I (and also the person im getting the server off) has never been able to make whmcs work with whmsonic Dan
othellotech
we have it working just fine - and our WHMCS is remote to all the servers ! make sure you have the latest module from the whmsonic forums, only use lowercase and no space for the cpanel package name, and follow theire quite simple flash movie to set it up

dansgalaxy
Hmm okay checked out the tutorial, i am all setup correctly as far as i know. Does it matter if you use Root/reseller? I had the package recreated in lower case so its now 2gbautodj however still doesnt work. Also noticed when you click create radio if cpanel exists, it comes back as successful even when it isnt
