knowledge base bug?

I set up a category and listed checked off "private". Then added an article (viewable only to clients).


The article shows up in the client's control panel, but the category does not. So I went and tried to uncheck "private" in admin but the directory is no where to be found (nor is the artcile).


Maybe I'm missing something or should be doing something differently. (I shouldn't have checked "private" but once doing so, there should be a way to change that.)
