igl00
Hi all. I'm quite new to all this and have had an issue with domain renewal today. There are two domains due for renewal this month through Enom and they auto renewed earlier this month. The client paid me today for the renewal so I went into WHMCS to mark the invoices as paid. This action sent a renewal request to the registrar and the domains were renewed for an additional year. How do I avoid this in the future?? Thanks in advance for your help! DristiTechnologies
Hi Ian, You can either disable auto-renewal from the domain settings at the registrar's end, or set the registrar to "None" in WHMCS for that domain. This will prevent duplicate renewals.
bear
Another thing would be to "fix" the items in the invoice (provided that still works these days) by copying each domain to a new line in the invoice and saving in between until they have all been moved once. Delete any empty lines when done, saving once more, then apply the payment. In the past that would make it so they're not seen as renewing, just paying for the renewal. Alternately, mark each domain to not autorenew just before applying the payment, then set them back immediately after applying it so it works next time.
