zippohosting
I found out how to do a custom field for a product but not for a product addon? I have a product addon called Domain Parking - where they need to add the domain name so we know which one is being parked... But we can not figure out how to get it so they can enter a domain name for a product add on... No - we are not trying to buy the domain or anything like that - just know what other domains are associated with a package.... Thanks
handsonwebhosting
Similar to the above we'd like to see a custom field on an add-on to allow us to enter software license numbers. Any plans to allow a custom field on an add-on?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted February 1, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted February 1, 2008 No plans at the current time but you can edit the addon name for individual customers, so you can add data you require like a license key or domain in there. eg. "Dedicated IP for whmcs.com" or "WHMCS License Key 1234567890" Matt
ihostct
I've found the custom addon per client works out fine for the time being to keep track of domain names that are parked on the account if they are names not registered through me, however, the "Registration Date" field for this scenario is pretty confusing to some clients as they think it is the registration date of the domain name (they tend to forget it is actually registered elsewhere). What would I need to modify to make the "Registration Date" label in this area say something else, for example "date added" or similar? Thank you
shed
We would like to request this feature too... we charge for a small admin fee for 'reset' of accounts to original state(handy when users screw up badly).. would be great to allow the users to specify which account they would like reset - as some have multiple accounts. Or is there a better way to do this?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 24, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 24, 2008 If it's setup as an addon, the customer is always going to specify which account they want it for when ordering because an addon can only be ordered under a parent product.
