cPanel Backups (no WHM access)

Recommended Posts

Hey,

We have created an API username and password on cPanel v110.x.xx via Security -> Manage API Tokens

put in the cPanel server hostname, I put the cPanel API User/Pass under WHM, and the cPanel username. When testing the connection we are getting

An error occurred: Access denied.

So what my question is, is there a way of setting up the cPanel backups without needing to have WHM access? We're not a typical hosting provider, so we are not self-hosting our install.

We do have hourly backups scheduled with Jetbackup, so I guess this might not even be needed. But it does form part of our recovery plan so would rather keep it - but the daily cron job makes the admin panel inaccessible for approx. 1 hour due to the backup currently running at that time. Trying to reduce that time by running it via the cPanel method

Thanks for any assistance in advance
