jwryan
I noticed the module for planet domains and I was just wondering if this is for the same reseller account that can be obtained here: http://www.planetreseller.info/ If it is please let me know. Also, has anyone used this registrar ? Their pricing is not very descriptive so I am not sure if their is an annual fee or if it is on a pay-as-you go basis. Thanks.
oempire
yep thats the same one. To be honest i had alot of problems with PD. Matt advied me a few times it apeared as though PD update their API without notice etc, which leads to a broken integration. Distribute IT seem alot better ive had no problems so far. DI actually make the module used in whmcs so have total control over it.
jwryan
Do they require a setup fee ? And roughly how long does the account take to be fully created ?
JofleyUK
Honestly, I would use ENOM for the domains. They are easy to deal with and have good support. Also they are cheap. Register for an enom account thru a third party as the ETP registration carries setup fees.
jwryan
Can you recommend any third part companies ?
JofleyUK
Use http://www.modernbill.com/domain-resellers/ for your enom account. We do. I know it's affiliated with Modernbill but you dont have to be using modernbill for your billing system. I would also like to say that the support from them is OK, better than their billing system support.
jwryan
Can anyone else confirm or dispute the problems with Planet Domains ? Ive looked at ENOM but the pricing structure seems sketchy. Apparently I have a FREE ENOM account, that of which entitles me to 0 domain names . Their whole layout is not very straightforward for my liking. Thanks for the recommendations though.
Brett
eNom is the best in my opinion.
railto
We use enom, by far the best, we got the account when we used MB, but there are loads of companies out there that will set you up with a reseller account FOC. if you google search for domain registrars and look for any that offer domains at 8.95 or there abouts
