Email Campaign Firstname fallback

In the Email Campaign we can use the merge fields but what if you add a Bcc email to someone not in the system?  Is there a Merge Field Fallback or a firstname fallback ?

If the firstname is empty (because we are sending to a Bcc who is not in the system)

Will it show;

1) Hi [firstname]

or will it just show without the name;

2) Hi 

I am assuming 2) - so how can we do something like

Hi [firstname,fallback=there]

Or can we use a conditional merge tag ?

Wow - no answer from whmcs - and one year later, I am needing the very same answer !

@WHMCSJohn  - this should not be too hard to implement, given it's already available in all the other templates....
