host19
I have read some older posts on this topic but not yet found a solution. Is it possible within WHMCS to configure it such that when a new customer is purchasing a domain name, that they cannot complete the purchase until they also select a hosting package? I do see that this could be done by editing the cart template file(s), but is there a cleaner option within WHMCS admin settings? Thanks!
steven99
Don't think that is possible out of box. Using the ShoppingCartValidateCheckout hook you could check if a hosting package or one within a group or any other items besides registration is in the cart and if not return an error.
host19
steven99, Thanks for the reply, I will look into how to utilize this hook. I was hoping that there was a simple setting within WHMCS which would make domain purchase dependent upon another product, but it seems like domains are handled differently to other types of product.
