Some integration questions before we buy

Question

Hi there,

I've spent the last couple of hours reading forum posts here and there and a lot of questions have been answered, but I'd like clerification (if possible) on a couple of things.

okay... firstly to explain my situation...

I have a Joomla based site as a container for hosting and design services etc etc.

I would say I am personally at an advanced level for web design (html, xhtml css etc) and intermediate with PHP.

We currently use WHM Autopilot but want to start reselling domains so we need an upgrade.

We have WHMCS installed and its great, but theres a couple of things I'd like to have.

1. I'd like the domain checker on the main page or my site (which I can do) but I'd like the results shown without side menu's and header etc

2. I'd like the order form on my main site (if possible), allowing the prospective client to got through (more or less) the entire purchase process.

Other than that i'd have a link the the "client area" which would link dorectly to the WHMCS area.

I don't want to link logins from Joomla to WHMCS... I'd just like "some" functions od WHMCS to be workable via my main site.

I had a look at the files but they are encoded. Is the code released when we buy to allow me to remove the side menu's etc, as I could then possibly create a second domainchecker.php page and remove the manus etc to allow it to be wrapped inside Joomla.

I hope this makes sense.

many thanks in advance for a reply

I can answer the last question with confidence, but I am about to go thought the same as you with the other questions.

The template's are 100% available for customization. you will be able to find them in the templates directory. I do have to say that is is a VERY flexible template system because they are based on smarty.

Now I will attempt to answer the first two questions up top, but someone please correct me if I am wrong. You can set the template by the URL. This should allow you to integrate the template into your design, while allowing you to keep a totally different theme as the default.

I hope that helps answer your questions, and also welcome to the forums! This is a great community!

thats good..

I just wanted to make sure I'd have full control over the templates after purchase.

For the main, I'd like to use WHMCS, but I'd like to have 'some sections' in my main site to make it easier for the user... just so they don't need to switch back and forward between my site and WHM.

thanks for the quick reply :)
