Locked out and reset password not working

I installed WHMCS yesterday, ran the set up wizard and all was fine last night, then when I came to login this morning my password wasn't recognized. NP, I thought, I can just reset my password, but when I try I'm not receiving the reset password e-mail.

I've spent most of this evening trying to login, with me receiving the failed admin login e-mails, but not the reset password ones.

Can anybody suggest a way that I can solve this without being able to login to my WHMCS installation, or am I going to have to delete it and start again?

if you could get into the database via phpmyadmin, then that would be another option - I think that would still work on the latest versions, but I haven't checked.

that said, if it were me, and unless you've spent hours entering the products, clients etc, I would just start again.
