HOW TO set all new hosting plans with 1 free year.

Hi all.

We are a digital agency that offer website design services. with every website we offer 1 year of free hosting to every single client but we do not sell hosting individually without having a website built. As such, we do not offer hosting plans on our website or any way to purchase them as it is something that we prefer to control internally.

I would like to know if there is an easy way to make the first year of hosting free and automatically send a renewal email after 12 months? Also, I would like to avoid sending the client an initial email as the first year is free and only send them a renewal notice after 12 months.

All clients and hosting plans will be entered into WHMCS ourselves so the client does not have to bother with this.

Hopefully someone has a good way of doing this. 🙂

it's worth noting that anyone could go to your WHMCS cart and order the hosting products there if they wanted to - the products are not hidden... and even if they were, they could still order them via the url.... granted, you haven't added any domain pricing, but that wouldn't prevent the order from occurring.

if you're doing this from the admin area, then you could use a 100% non-recurring promotion code, e.g it only discounts the first invoice, and untick the order notification  / invoices / emails checkboxes during the ordering process.

that said, if you're offering web design with this, then you might need to look at product bundles and see if that's more convenient - they can use promocodes too.
