Problem connecting to the domain registry. Please check port 43

Hello,

Anyone having this problem when doing a Whois Lookup?

There was a problem connecting to the domain registry. Please check port 43 is open in your servers firewall.
Error: 111 - Connection refused

I checked port 43 and it is open.

then the refusal might be at their end, e.g you're using an invalid URL or have overused a particular whois server.

which TLD was it for and what's your whois entry for it ?
