Silly time-out function with WHMCS

Recommended Posts

So, I take about 30 minutes to write a mass-email.  I want to make sure everything is just the way I want it.  I click "Send Message", and suddenly the site shows I'm logged out and I have to log back in.  I log back in, and the whole message is gone and I have to type it again.

This is ridiculous!  This has happened a few times before, but this time put me over the top.  Somehow, you need to make sure that the message I typed up doesn't get lost in POST when a re-login is required due to timeout or security.  Yes, I can copy/paste, but the last thing on my mind is getting logged out when I try to send the message.

Please include some fix/improvement for this in  your next update.  Thank you.

I think the default session is 24 minutes - but don't quote me on that.

I don't know if the last six words below are still applicable (as I haven't tested it), but...

When logging into the admin area there is a remember me box that can be checked to stay logged in indefinitely. Then the session timeout doesn't matter.

I don't ever recall getting logged out like that in the way you describe - though i've got browser extensions in place that remember form content anyway, so even if I did get logged out, I should be able to recover what I had previously typed.
