credit card auto charge issue

Under "automation settings">> "Credit Card Charging Settings" >> "Process Days Before Due ( 0) Enter the number of days before the due payment date you want to attempt to capture the payment",

my question 1):
so if it input
"0" day, it mean will not process the auto charges ?
 

OR

it means will process auto charges on the day of invoice due ?

my question2):
can the above setting can be
different from clients and clients? 
e.g some clients not will allow me to process the auto charge when renew , but some clients prefer auto chages.

Correct, setting the Process Days Before Due setting to “0” will result in the credit card charge attempts on the due date of the invoice.

The Automation Settings are global and cannot be applied to individual clients. You can however prevent automated credit card charges by setting the “Auto CC Processing” setting to “No” for selected clients:
