webchimp
Hi, I've installed Whmcs in my domain.com/whmcs. Now I want to go live but I can't seem to hide the Whmcs-directory in my url. Not only doesn't it looks good but it's a sec. issue. With mod_rewrite it's easy to hide a subdirectory but since I've installed it in ../whmcs that subdirectory becomes the RewriteBase root /. Hence /whmcs/ is always in my url no mather what. Anyone got an idea how to "fix" this? Thanks!
WHMCS ChrisD
Hey @webchimp The directory you have install WHMCS in will show in the URL, you can if you wish install WHMCS at the top level or pop it in a directory called "billing" or similar but you would not be able to use Mod_Rewrite to rename it from WHMCS
webchimp
Hi Chris, I was already afraid it would go that way 😉 Thanks for your reply! Kr, Denis
