phuber
Hi I have very long product descriptions due to the amount of info required for the products, as such I'm always looking for ways to shorten them. Latest idea is to use something like a spoiler code so gfdgffdg dgffggfdgfd dgfgfdggd gdfgdfg turns into Spoiler fjdfsjfdsjkdfs dsfjfdsjfdsjkfds fdjkfdsjkfdsjkfdsjk fdsjkdfsjk What would be the easiest and or best way to do this?

Latest idea is to use something like a spoiler code - What would be the easiest and or best way to do this? easiest and/or best will be two different things - and could get complicated by any customisations you've added to your site, or which template you're using... in other words - the simpler you keep it, the less you should have to tweak for future releases; the more complex you create it, the more something to come along to break it, and the more involved the solution would need to be... e.g requiring JavaScript and therefore hooks. so as a basic example, the example image below shows hidden text (5 paragraphs of lorem ipsum) that is revealed when the customer runs their mouse over the "Further Details" button box.... it's only using HTML and CSS (the HTML is in the product description and the CSS is in a custom.css file), so updating WHMCS shouldn't necessarily break the solution. is this what you had in mind ?
