Support ticket is not created when service should be manually provisioned

Hello,

i am having now WHMCS 6.3 and i think this feature worked before, but now the support ticket is not created that would notify me as an WHMCS admin to manually provision a service (product) which has "Auto Release" set in Module settings.

When i switch from "Do not automatically setup this product" kind of option to setup once invoice is paid, then the ticket is created informing me that service was provisioned. But when i switch back to "do not automatically setup" the support ticket is not created and i want it to be created 😞  (Create action is set to "Create support ticket" and i have not found coresponding template in E-mail templates, maybe it is somewhere else)

It also did not create any to-do entry when i set Auto Release that way (instead of support ticket creating)and mode to "do not automatically setup".

Are you also manually accepting the order or automatically doing so?  If automatic, that wont work and not sure it would have previously as WHMCS wont run the create function without that flag.

If you are accepting manually, do you check the "Run create"  checkbox next to the user / password fields?   If not, again, it needs to be set for WHMCS to do that action.

please what do you mean here? i do it the way that i do not care about Pending orders page, i am not marking orders on it..

i also found that whmcs not create to-do entry when i set Auto Release that way instead of Creating ticket. (in "do not automatically setup" mode)

This product is taken care fully manually no API commands, no Create command. I just input values on the product page, click Save and then click to send the client an e-mail with data.. what do you think i should check please?

If you are not going to the pending orders page to accept orders, then you are accepting them automatically.  If that is the case, you need to have one of the three other options picked as otherwise WHMCS presumes you do not want actions taken, no matter of the actual module used.  As such, it wont take action as you have basically told it not to and you would handle that when accepting the order manually.  This holds true for any server / product module, even the auto release.

WHMCS admin -> Setup menu  -> Products / Services -> Products / Services sub menu item -> the product in question -> Module Settings Tab .  Below the module settings area and above the submit button will be 4 radio buttons with the bottom / last  being the option that you have mentioned.  Pick one of the others for automation to take control .   In this case, the option "Automatically setup the product as soon as the first payment is received" would be best.

i understand. thank you.

I would have to set the service welcome email to something like: "thank you for your order, we will setup the service manually soon", because my product is not supported by any whmcs module/addon. A bit confusing for the client may be if the service is set as Active, though hopefuly they will receive e-mail and not be creating too many tickets.. Thank you Steven for help.

You can set the welcome email to "None" via the product settings summary tab -> Welcome email and they would not get an an email and then you just send them one once everything is provisioned via the service details page -> send message or the client details page -> send message or opening a ticket.

yes, but Auto Release will mark the service as Active with empty credentials and that i would think can be confusing for the people. Manual service setup can take even 24 hours.
So better i think is to send them custom e-mail (created via Email templates page and set in Product/Service configuration) like: "thank you for your order, the service is marked Active, but it can take XY hours until we setup it for you"  - it does not sound good.

Other option is to make a habit to always watch and use Pending orders section.
