Server connection issue

Setting up servers with tokens. Each time I get "FAILED: Array". Token is created, has access to the functions defined in the docs. Using the reseller username and the token generated, no joy. Turn off SSL, just spins, never connects. 

Logging the error provides only this:

IP whitelisted, and the reseller had been able to connect prior to the change in WHM to json and the newer versions of WHMCS. 
Any thoughts on where to look?
