Creating a button on invoice screen

Hello,

I'm building an add-on module that will require a button to be placed on the invoice screen, something similar to "Attempt Capture" (see attached). The purpose of the new button would be to do certain accounting backend procedures. 

I have not been able to find any documentation that will allow me to dynamically add a button without modifying the template files manually. Can someone guide me to the right direction?

Is there a particular reason why you don't want to modify the template files? I'm not sure if a hook for this exists but you can search here:

Then execute the hook to add the code in your specific page. But I would rather personally do it directly in the template instead.
