hazardpro
Hi all - im new to WHMCS and im a little puzzled. We have lots of domain references on our existing system. Customers who have domains registered elsewhere, but pointing to our nameservers. Im trying to figure out how WHMCS deals with this kind of domain. For example a customer may have 'domain1.com' attached to a hosting plan with us, but they may also have domain2, domain 3 and domain4, all registered elsewhere but pointing to us. And they may have purchased a 'domain mapping' addon from us enabling them to point all the domains to the main hosting plan. In our existing system we have these domains listed in the customers control panel as 'domain references' - they have no renewal date etc. as they are not registered with us. If I try to add a domain in this way in WHMCS it doesnt seem to work, eg im not sure what 'status' it should have, and I am unable to omit the 'renew your domain' link etc. Am I missing something? Can someone explain how I can/should add/manage domain references in WHMCS? Thanks in advance. H
WHMCS ChrisD
Hi Hazardpro, Thanks for getting in touch. Generally your package will have the main domain attached to it, any additional domains would not be added in WHMCS these simply are controlled in the control panel that handle add-on domains.
