geeks
I am trying to sell web application user seats. The customer purchases the web app purchasing seats. How would you configure WHMCS to charge by seats? What about buying additional seats and prorating the fees (which could be annual or monthly)? Many thanks in advance.
brian!
that sounds like a task for Configurable Options to me... just create one with a min/max quantity, assign it to this product, it should show as a slider in the cart and the customer can decide how many seats to purchase. with regards to upgrading, they can alter the number of seats via the client area and be invoiced accordingly (or optionally refunded if reducing the number). https://docs.whmcs.com/Automated_Upgrades_and_Downgrades#Configurable_Options_Upgrades

YAY! I got this going. Thank you! with regards to upgrading, they can alter the number of seats via the client area and be invoiced accordingly (or optionally refunded if reducing the number). https://docs.whmcs.com/Automated_Upgrades_and_Downgrades#Configurable_Options_Upgrades I am still a little stuck with this. I can add/reduce users from the backend (i.e. Clients - View/Search Client - Product/Services tab). I want to allow the Customer to add/reduce seats in the Client Area (frontend). There are 2 issues: 1. Products/Services - Products/Services - Upgrade tab forces you to upgrade to another product/service - not to itself. 2. If I create an upgrade product/service, the Configurable Options simply would not appear. What am I doing wrong? I am soooooo close...
