Product Discount Question

I have a query regarding applying of discounts on products using promo codes. I have added a few Dedicated Server and VPS products in WHMCS. I have also added configurable options likes Plesk, cPanel etc. I want to offer discounts on the Server and VPS to a few customers, however, the discount should not be applied to the Licenses. If I enter a promo code, it calculates the discount on the entire amount including the Plesk/cPanel licenses. How do I avoid that?

for this, you may have to use a fixed amount promotion code - as a percentage code will apply to the whole product (including configurable options) - there's been a feature request about this for over four years.

 

unless you want to develop a custom solution, or find one in Marketplace, I suspect your easiest option will be to use fixed amount discounts.

I figured out that if I create Product Add-Ons instead of Configurable Options, Customers can select the add-on products and the discounts will be applied only to the main product, however, it means I will have to create multiple add-ons for multiple configurations.

with it being a third party addon, that question might be better directed to ModulesGarden themselves.

 

their own documentation make no reference to configurable options - but you'd need to confirm that with them.
