AlexBroz
Hi WHMCS Community, Recently I have changed the invoice pdf template file for my server. When I did this, I ensured that I cleared the template cache, and ensured that the correct template in general settings is selected; all was working. A week or so later i have been noticing only occasionally, some invoices (new and old) are using the old template. This can be fixed by re-clearing the cache and re-saving general settings, or adding the '&systpl=xxx'. This is strange because the template field under general settings has not been changed. Why does it sometimes pull from the wrong template file? Also note: I could not locate the templates_c folder on the server. Thanks in advance
WHMCS ChrisD
Hello AlexBroz, Thanks for your post, this does seem odd, are you using a customised theme? viewinvoice.tpl or invoicepdf.tpl The location of the Templates_C folder should also be in your configuration.php folder
AlexBroz
Hi ChrisD, Thanks for the fast reply, and yes I am using a customized theme. The same issue is actually with both template. We can also rule out browser cache as it is multiple happening on multiple machines. I checked the location of the templates_c folder in the confiuration.php file and it says it should be on my route WHMCS directory. Is it not there. Does this mean it has been deleted?

I haven't seen this issue before so readding the templates_c may help

There are a number of files cached into Templates_C when they are not present, it recreates them, however with the folder not being present it will be causing a error that the server would be getting back
