Can't Apply Promotional Code On Recurring Item??

Hi everyone,

 

I am trying to offer a 30 day free trial, except I don't want to use the 'free trial' functionality rather I would just rather use a normal recurring product subscription.

 

The problem I got is, the promotional code does not get applied on to the recurring subscription for some reason.

 

It says: "The promotion code you entered has been applied to your cart but no items qualify for the discount yet - please check the promotion terms"

 

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

if you aren't going to use the FT functionality, then I assume you would want to use a one-time discount ? e.g let's say the product is $10 per month and you want to give a 100% discount for the first month... after that, they will either pay the full amount or cancel the "trial".

 

if you're getting the above message, then I suspect the promotion code isn't correctly set - perhaps specifying the wrong product and/or billing cycle... screenshots of the setting for this promotional code might prove useful.
