ignisium
I just upgraded from 6.3.1 to 7.1.1. I did a completely fresh install - moved the existing install to a backup directory and installed a fresh, full copy of WHMCS. As most of my template customizations are CSS only, I also copied the entire new six theme folder and merely added my custom CSS file, so all of the template files are up-to-date as well. I was formerly using ServerPing's plugin for Stripe, but following the upgrade guide and information regarding the new built-in WHMCS Stripe module, I followed the instructions to use the built-in module. WHAT. A. JOKE. Today, one of my clients tried to update her credit card before paying for an invoice. Let me preface this by saying that I do not have the ability enabled for clients to delete their card on their own, so she couldn't just delete her card, only update. When my client tried to UPDATE her card info to a new card, WHMCS passed a DELETE command to Stripe, deleting her ENTIRE customer information from Stripe (EVERYTHING, entire history, POOF), and did NOT just update the old card info. When WHMCS then tried to add the new card to her customer ID in stripe, the update failed, because "no customer found with that id" (since she had been deleted). So I tried some testing on my own by adding a new card to my WHMCS client account. Trying to add the card via the admin area saved the card to WHMCS, not stripe. When I attempted to add the card from the CLIENT area, WHMCS sent the card data to Stripe, but the customer info, address, zip, email, etc. were all passed as "null" - so I see the API call in the logs of Stripe, but the data didn't save, since there was no customer info to attach the card to. This is a joke and an insult to us as paying customers for them to roll this out to us as production. The integrated Stripe module is clearly not production ready and should not have been rolled out with bugs like this. STAY AWAY from using the integrated Stripe module until WHMCS can demonstrate competency in implementing Stripe successfully. I re-installed the ServerPing Stripe module and everything appears to be working fine using their module once more.
EWH1
I have to agree. Everything you have pointed out, has been mentioned in other threads since it first came out and so far, I have yet to see WHMCS really address this directly, on what should be a top priority to get this fixed. We, like you, wiped all files and we manually reinstalled and we still get the template warning in the gateway settings. There are other threads where this has been discussed for the past month.
