In the Previous version, it was not easy for an admin to find a user if there are multiple users with the same name. Now we have the company name and client id associated with the name and add search feature as well.

• Option for admin to define the VM name pattern
  

In the previous version, the user was able to add or control the VM name but as per VMware client feedback, we change this method. Now admin can set the prefix in product module setting and they can control the new VM name. So it should be like e.g. datacentername_whmcsclientname_serviceid.

 

 

• Added the memory limit feature
  

: We pass the memory limit based on the ram selection if admin set like 1 GB ram then we set the memory limit as like 1024 MB for new VM which previously going unlimited.

 

• Added the operating system configurable options
  

: Admin can set the price of these configurable options.

Coming Soon :

 

1).Datacenter selection not needed for client :

 

Selection of the datacenter should not be available to the client or it should be grayed out if only one datacenter is available in the vcenter.

 

2).Control the snapshot limit :

 

Can we control the snapshot feature in a way that limits the number of snapshot allowed?

 

3).Cluster deployment

 

Module should have ability to choose cluster to deploy and update hostname customfield after created, or when client view product.

 

Because with cluster using vsan + DRS enabled, vm will auto balancing between hosts in cluster, host will changed if vm auto migrated to another host.

 

4). Debian guest customization

I wonder if you have managed to make the Debian guest customization work? All other OSes seem to work fine except for the Debian. We tried both Debian 7 and 8 with open-vm-tools and also vmware native tools but to no avail. It seems that vmtools version coming with Debian lacks -deploypkg package. So I guess we should either upgrade open-vm-tools or install -deploypkg? Perhaps anyone here can assist us? Is there any repo where the new version is available?

We are pleased to announce that we have released the new update of VMware WHMCS Module

V1.0.6 we are trying our best to make this module more productive.

 

Various bugs are fixed and new features are added in V-1.0.6 that you need to know about.

 

 

New Features​

 

1.Snapshot​ ​Limit​ ​:​ In previous version there was no limit in the module setting to set the snapshot limit as per user demand. We have added this feature on high priority. So now admin can set the limit of snapshot how much snapshot user can create for their VM. By default limit is set to 1.

 

 

 

2.​ ​DHCP​ ​check​ ​integrated​ ​:​ ​In previous version, module was working with DHCP but now we have improved this feature. Previously there was no check like if provider is using DHCP but still our module was asking end user to input their IP’s. Now we have integrated the check product module setting if DHCP setting in enabled than our script will not ask user to enter the IP’s.

 

 

​3. Assign​ ​existing​ ​VM​ : ​ ​A​ ​feature​ ​to​ ​assign​ ​existing​ ​VM​ ​with​ ​old​ ​user​ ​order​ ​is​ ​added. This is the great feature we have added now. If you were not using our module and were doing the manual work to create the VM and you were worried about how you will assign your VM to existing order or products. No worry you can assign it now using our module with existing service, no need to order new service.

 

 

 

4. Delete​ ​multiple​ ​IP’s​ ​:​ ​We​ ​have​ ​given​ new option to delete multiple IP’s from the IP pool.This is also added in the new version.

 

 

5.​ ​Compatible​ ​with​ ​DSR​ ​:​ It’s good news for that people who are using VMware based on load balances. Now our module is fully supported with DSR. A DSR-based load-balanced routing feature is added that updates the hostname in hostname custom field when client view the product.

 

 

Bugs fixing

 

 

You are unable to get the view of the folder VM’s list after selecting the existing VM. Now, (this issue is fixed).

 

The issue regarding not getting the view of complete IP list instead of having the multiple.(Hostnames is fixed).

 

In this version, you can get the specific resource pool under the Hostname option while configuring the OS along with the add-on module.

 

The issue regarding the selection of Data center from the client side is fixed. Now, the data center

selection option will be grayed out if there is availability of only one DC in the Vcenter.

 

Distributed switch network adaptors are not showing in OS mapping regarding issue is fixed.

New version of the module is launched! The updated version 1.09  has come up with few bug fixes and added features.

New Features Introduced

1. Stop auto invoice generation while assigning existing VM’s to your customers:

As you know the default feature of WHMCS, whenever an order is placed it generates an invoice for the customer. In our previous version, when the admin assigns the existing VM to a customer then WHMCS processes it is as a new order and generates an invoice for the customer, which was quite annoying. In this 1.09 version we have fixed this issue, you can now stop the invoice generation process while assigning the existing VM's to your customer by just a single click. Follow the screenshot below.

 

2. Introducing product grouping to make products edits process fast.

It was difficult updating new configuration for every new product previously. We have introduced product grouping that allows hosting companies to assign specific configurable options to a specific product group. Now you just need to edit the configuration setting of a single product group and the same configuration gets applied to all the products under that product group.

 

3. Support custom orders, as your users can now choose a custom configuration.

Previous version do not support custom orders, version 1.09 now allows your customers to enhance the default configuration settings according to their requirements. 

Suppose 1 GB RAM is the default order value, your customer can increase the size of the RAM according to his/her requirements.

New version of the module is launched! The updated version 2.0.0  has come up with few bug fixes. 

Bugs Fixed:

1. The problem is that it never correctly detects the system, and we think it may be because it is not actually stored, but when we access the customer's product file, it always appears first in the configurable options, regardless of which one the customer actually installed, even if we change it manually it still appears.

2. Translate configurable option with Guest OS Family after that it does not load the list of operating systems.

3. Translate datacenter custom field and then getting IP not found under this "---" datacenter.
