com2
I don't find Reply-To anywhere in the settings. This old thread mentions an old field label that I cannot find back. I only see: General Settings -> General -> Email address, appears to be the From: address General Settings -> Mail-> System Emails From Email, which does not seem to be used in any email header. Is this a bug? Is there a work around? What should I do to get what I want?
brian!
with regards to "Systems Emails From Email"... http://docs.whmcs.com/Mail_Tab#System_Emails_From_Email The email address that will appear on all emails sent to staff by WHMCS. This address does not necessarily have to exist I.e. noreply@yourcompany.com the docs says it's only used on admin messages, though i'm not sure it is. as far as I know, WHMCS is still hard-coded to use the "From" address as the "Reply-to" address... certainly previous versions were. therefore, the simplest way to set a reply-to address is to change the from address - either generally using the General settings... or on an individual template basis by editing the from address in the email template(s).... but I assume ideally you want to have from/reply using different addresses. I know you can modify the /vendor/phpmailer/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php file to add a return path to the email headers, but i'm not sure about reply-to. https://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?97287-Email-Return-Path-can-not-be-configured
com2
This is an old issue. I got a total of 5 votes on my feature request, not enough to draw your attention and it still is causing me problems sometimes. To provide more information, the From address in my case cannot be changed because only one is valid with my email provider. Their SMTP server would refuse to deliver the email when I put another From address. Using a reply-to address is therefore the only way to get replies on an alternative desired address. Isn't there a hack to add the extra email header? Or could you please include my feature request in the next version?
