can not whois look up for .me domain

i have strange error, my whmcs can not search/whois look up for .me domain, the problem is only for .me domain and work well on all domain extensions eexcept .me

 

error showing Error: 110 - Connection timed out

There was a problem connecting to the domain registry. Please check port 43 is open in your servers firewall.

 

i have checked my firewall and port 43 is not blocked, i tried to disable my firewall as well but the problem is not fixed

 

this is my whois server on whmcs file

.me|whois.meregistry.net|NOT FOUND

 

when i ping whois.meregistry.net

From 2.183.199.66.afilias-ops.info (66.199.183.2) icmp_seq=5 Time to live exceeded

From 2.183.199.66.afilias-ops.info (66.199.183.2) icmp_seq=6 Time to live exceeded

From 2.183.199.66.afilias-ops.info (66.199.183.2) icmp_seq=7 Time to live exceeded

this is my whois server on whmcs file

.me|whois.meregistry.net|NOT FOUND

there's the problem - that entry is out of date... change it to below and it should work again.

it works, whmcs should change their default whois server for .me domain

of course, that doesn't help anyone using v6.3.1
