Log Into Webmail Tab in client area does not work after setting up a email and webmail app.

Before this tab would not work, so I made a email in the cpanel first, but afterwards the webmail tab still wouldn't work.

 

Next I went through the cpanel and set roundcube as the default webmail, but the "Log Into Webmail" tab in WHMCS client area still doesnt link to anything,

it just loads a page: http://res189.inmotionhosting.com:2095/

that

says res189.inmotionhosting.com’s server DNS address could not be found.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

you can use an action hook to change those sidebar links if you know what the correct webmail URL would be for the client (follow the 2nd link in the above post).

we had a similar issue and it was due to the hostname not resolving..... dns records sorted out and all ok since.

Could you elaborate on what DNS records you sorted out?

Was this on the Host side? or the WHMCS side?

On the serverside.... make sure the server hostname has an A record and that the same hostname is in the server setting in WHMCS
