Is there an easy way to customize sidebars for one particular product?

I know how to customize the sidebar in templates to target certain pages. I also know how to do it with hooks. However I need it be more surgical. Only targeting certain pages of certain products. It gets more complicated and tricky to do that. Seems possible but not straight forward.

 

At a minimum, does anyone have a recipe for this? A hook example perhaps.
