well if you've tried everything and it doesn't work, then you might as well give up!

 

seriously, there are two types of custom field that you should be able to use for this - either Client Custom Fields or Product Custom Fields - you should be able to set either to show on the order form and/or invoices.

 

if this PO# applies to the client, e.g regardless of the product, the PO# is going to be the same, then it sounds like a Client Custom Field would be the way to go.

 

have you tried using a Client Custom Field and if so, what happened - did it appear on the order form? is it showing on the invoice ?? is it visible in the client's profile?
