Another remove the sidebar thread

Hello everyone. I have been trying to remove the categories and actions sidebar on the order page screencast.com/t/0hVjO8mPIQd but I have been unsuccessful.

 

Can someone tell me what hook code I need to use and where the file has to go? I am using the six theme but does the file go in the root /includes/hooks folder or does it go in the templates/six/hooks folder?

Thanks that worked. I thought I saw in another thread somewhere that when the sidebar is removed the middle column will expand and take up the full width where the old sidebar use to be?

it generally tends to with the Six template - so if you take Knowledgebase as an example, when you use a hook to remove the sidebar(s) from that page, the page automatically adjusts to full width - it's the same with Announcements and Network Status I think.

 

but with Standard_cart, it doesn't - it just leaves the space where the sidebar was (it's been like that since the first v6 beta!) - so it has to be removed, either by the modifications in the above thread, or maybe a css tweak.

I switched to the modern order form and it fixed the issue. Did not even need the hook, the modern order form removed it automatically .
